Mutuelle Jeunesse Active (MJA) is a Congolese humanitarian organization formed in 2003 by Mazombo Menga Rodolphe in the tumultuous province of South Kivu. MJA works out of Uvira, where insecurity and lack of development resources have created a dire situation for the community.

Because of MJA’s core belief that Uvira’s children can lead the region into a more peaceful and stable future, we work with them to provide increased access to information, educational activities, and IT (Internet technology) programs. In addition, we also organize forums for community members to openly discuss security and peace-building, cooperative development ideas, and community conflict resolution strategies stressing non-violence and openness to the ideas of all those working towards a peaceful and sustainable Uvira. Aiding us in our efforts to provide these programs in Uvira is our generous support network, which includes private donors, charitable foundations, educational institutions, and global non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

MJA prides itself on our cooperative relationship with the local Uvira community, and we are active listeners to community members wishing to share ideas, suggestions, or advice on how to make our programs more effective and better targeted towards the needs of all inhabitants of South Kivu. Please use our Contact link to do so. We hope to hear from you.  Thank you so kindly for your interest in MJA and our hopes for peace in eastern Congo.
